I. OPENING OF THE MEETING (5min.)
A. State overall vision of the Club
B. Welcome new student-athletes:
1. If someone invited them have them introduce them
2. Give them name, class & sports played
3. Everybody clap etc.
II. CELEBRATE ANY COMMUNITY SERVICE COMPLETED BY TEAMS OR INDIVIDUALS (15 min.)
A. Describe the event to the LC members
B. Cheer for any attendees who are at the meeting
C. Post on LC Instagram & Website if not there already
D. Go over how many Community Service hours accumulated
E. Go over possible new opportunities using spreadsheet from LC Website
and school to career activities.
F. Include opportunities to serve your local Athletic Booster Club
III. GO OVER ONE OF THE 10 CORE VALUES TEAMMATE (10 min.)
A. Start with the first Core Value Teammate
(i.e. #1 is INTEGRITY- How does being a person of integrity help you on & off the field?
Give examples of people who have lived this out.)
B. Schedule one of your fellow LC members to encourage the rest of the members
to execute it in their lives.
C. How can you practically apply the Core Value Teammate (CVT) to your life?
D. You can bring guest speakers to help explain it & lives out that CVT.
(LC rep can help you with that!)
IV. HIGHLIGHT ANY ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS (15 min.)
A. Cheer for any attendees who are at the meeting
B. Open the floor to any LC struggling in a subject to help them find help.
1. NHS members can tutor someone for Comm. Service hours
2. Community In Schools (CIS) Programs
3. Any fellow LC teammates who can assist
4. After School help classes or Tutoring
V. HIGHLIGHT ANY RESULTS OF SCHOOL SPORTING EVENT (10 min.)
A. Cheer for any attendees who are at the meeting that played
B. Highlight next sporting event on school calendar to see if LC members
can go and support fellow members
